Boiling out muntjac

Recommended Posts

A mate asked me to boil out two muntjac heads for him together with one roebuck. It took me maybe 50 minutes to boil and clean the roebuck, but it took ages to boil the munties. I think I was boiling them for 2h or so and they were still tough, pain to get them cleaned. I would not boil old red stag for that long, but I just gave up boiling as I thought it could not be right (and they were not overdone, loosing teeth, breaking bones or anything) and got them clean at that point, but the meat was still pretty much attached to the bone and tough. Are all munties like that?
