has any body ever run both irish and brown and there opinion as

to witch one is best :)

we have had this debate before luke . :D the brown hare(lepus europaeus) is far quicker than the red hare (lepus timidus hibernicus) whish is a sub species of the mountain hare which are smaller and slower .......its as simple as that ;) ,,...but the irish will say different :snack::drink::drink::drink:

The Irish hare, ( and im not irish :D ) is the same size at times, not allways, as the Brown :o:laugh:

The Irish hare, can outpase threw rough ground, the brown hare and piss all over the blue hare. :D

Is as simple as that.;):drink:

Snoop, have you evidence of what hare is the fastest? I find that hard to believe. Coursed them both, Irish hare is a better hare in my opinion, spoke about it before, an Irish hare has a million places to escape and most know what a dog is. By the way not diminishing the strength of the brown hare, raced hares on lincoln, and altcar that a barrat light fifty couldn't stop!

to be honest if these are thge same as the scottish mountain hare , i learn my pups on them cos they easy killed , they make good striking practice, i had a 7 1/2 month old bitch kill 10 up on Gifford moors and a 9 month old dog pup kill 7 , i thought its to cruel to run an older dog
