Your Right there Roger you southerner's can have "Shandy Drinking Noodle Arms Jessie's" as Your Chapter :tongue2:

hi ideation all you have to do is turn up at the meet and i will stick one on you

I really like the idea of a T.H.L. HFT badge we can show on caps/hoodies/gunslips etc but, after a lot of studying the proposed design I honestly do not believe it wise to use the rabbit motif.   1

HI

as the title said "POSSIBLE ?"

thanks for all the feed back! and all points have been taken on board, this "possible badge" is/was going to be for air gun members in this section, and possibly the T.H.L web address "free advertising"

I can understand the look and how it may offend others, but it will be only for a select members who turn out at the meets "I dont know just throwing this out there!" i have some other ideas and shall get back to the PC and try and be creative once more or several times

I also had a thought of a PCP and spring rifle crossing, which was the original idea, but I couldn't find a image of a AATX200hc,so here is a thought if you like i could be creative enough to put my tx & my s410 on my logo and so fourth.then you will all have your own ID badge? I hunt with the aas410 & and shoot comp with the spring rifle,so in a way its showing I compete & hunt!

Simon if you have any idea's then put them to use on paper, and together as a creative section we may come up with something really cool!

there has to be more than 4 creative air gun shooters on here, then we could put it to the poll and pick one

PS. maybe a marksman skills badge for the meets

regards

I Cant believe that grown men are discussing Making a badge to wear. When would you actually wear it :)

Maybe its just another generation! :)

Wonder if we could have a ferret section one...........perhaps it could be a micro ferret and a euro ferret savaging a rabbit. :)

Nowt wrong with badges

I'm not ashamed nor do I care that people know that I shoot,

However no-one would ever guess that I am a shooter when I walk down the street with my jacket on.

The four in a line indicates my aquired level with multishot pistols (Still got to do the Expert and Distinguished Expert levels when I can be bothered; then onto the Advanced Levels for speed and accuracy).

The Star commemorates the Bianchi International 50th Anniversary Shoot.

On the left is a Beretta Pin, Smith & Wesson Pin, a Bolt action Rifle Pin and my ID tag for the UBC International Meets. We've had competitors from the USA and Thailand come over to take part in those comps.

So I think that a badge, be it a Pin or Sew on patch is something to be worn with pride  Bit like (but far cheaper than) those shirts that footy and rugby fans wear.

Tony

ps By the way Davy, Wurz I can put you in touch with people that do our badges including the sew on ones (but there is a set up fee for those! and can be a touch expensive).

Fair one, if you complete something that you train hard to achive you deseve the right to wear it!

Simon, all due respect but I don't think a discrete badge worn by 20 or so forum members is going to whip the general masses up into mass air gun hysteria!

Malt you are probably right and I'm perhaps being a bit over-cautious as to a possible reaction as a whole. But you know how over-reactionary the antis can be and I don't want to see a harmless bit of fun among ourselves turned into something it was never intended to be!

Davy.

I will certainly have a go at designing air rifle shooting badges that could be easily made for us by various badge making businesses.

The Pellet over crossed rifles could be a proficiency series.

ONE PELLET. = NOVICE or COMPETITION RUNNER UP . (Bronze)

TWO PELLET =( pellets side by side) = INTERMEDIATE OR CLASS/EVENT WINNER. (Silver)

THREE PELLET =(pellets in tri-angle form) =SENIOR or OUTRIGHT COMPETITION CHAMPION.

Just an idea to stimulate interest.

What about the rest of the forum members. Would you like to see a badge or badges for your membership and/or skills here?

All the best to everyone.

What are they for ?

Are they a THL badge to forum members ?

Are they to be used for the THL meets` ?

If so , then dont forget that a large portion of members cannot attend .

And also there should be some sort of grading avaliable to ALL members that wish to take part , should there not ??

Only thinking of some who would like to be `involved more`

You all know me , very much a loner . Just thinking for others .

Can you also design a 'i went to a T.H.L meet and survived all the snoring at night' badge

perhaps some crossed earplugs over a load of Z's

one ear plug if you slept next to Dave

two if you slept next to Tony

three if you slept between Daz and Darryl!!!

I like the idea of the pins for the top 3 at a meet perhaps not even runners up ones just champion recoil/pcp that way they would be more cuveted

Simon what is the old phrase "Out of the mouths of babes?", with your earlier post. You being possibly the most fitting person to design a forum patch/badge that i know in the forum. As anybody that was at the last meet i didn't shoot and don't think i ever will, but i would still like a THL forum patch that i could sew onto my hunting coat.
