Recommended Posts

just had a glance at the post guys dam good idea about a badge lads but id leave out the skull it gives the impression of agression and were supposed to be a responsible set of hunters who want to promote hunting not turn people against us.

SORRY GUYS IF THIS IS NEGATIVE but theres to many tossers in this world waiting to destroy the hunting game and shooting that we enjoy doing

Your Right there Roger you southerner's can have "Shandy Drinking Noodle Arms Jessie's" as Your Chapter :tongue2:

hi ideation all you have to do is turn up at the meet and i will stick one on you

I really like the idea of a T.H.L. HFT badge we can show on caps/hoodies/gunslips etc but, after a lot of studying the proposed design I honestly do not believe it wise to use the rabbit motif.   1

Do you really think a bunch of men discussing what badge they would like to wear is even remotely linked with aggression...................... :D

First thing i would like to say is Adam your one sick man if you are going to put me and the rest the chilli challenge.

Next, love the idea of a badge. Is the badge for all members to buy or is it for attendee's of the meet. Cost wise it needs to be open for all members to buy, its then a choice between sew on badge or lapel pin. I would think and my choice would be for a sew on patch that could be sewn onto my shooting kit somewhere. I think that a lapel pin type is not the way to go, because as a shooter i try to look invisable so why would i want a shinny badge on my shooting kit.

So sorry Davy mate i think you are going to get people who want this but not that where the next person wants the opposite. My choice would be for a sew on badge, i would like it to have the initals of the forum and the rest is your choice, guns, skull colours etc.

I Cant believe that grown men are discussing Making a badge to wear. When would you actually wear it :)

Maybe its just another generation! :)

Wonder if we could have a ferret section one...........perhaps it could be a micro ferret and a euro ferret savaging a rabbit.:)

Nowt wrong with badges

I'm not ashamed nor do I care that people know that I shoot,

However no-one would ever guess that I am a shooter when I walk down the street with my jacket on.

The four in a line indicates my aquired level with multishot pistols (Still got to do the Expert and Distinguished Expert levels when I can be bothered; then onto the Advanced Levels for speed and accuracy).

The Star commemorates the Bianchi International 50th Anniversary Shoot.

On the left is a Beretta Pin, Smith & Wesson Pin, a Bolt action Rifle Pin and my ID tag for the UBC International Meets. We've had competitors from the USA and Thailand come over to take part in those comps.

So I think that a badge, be it a Pin or Sew on patch is something to be worn with pride  Bit like (but far cheaper than) those shirts that footy and rugby fans wear.

Tony

ps By the way Davy, Wurz I can put you in touch with people that do our badges including the sew on ones (but there is a set up fee for those! and can be a touch expensive).

Phantom. Please don't, and I am sure you don't, take my comments seriously.:)

As far as I am concerned each to their own, and good luck and well done for whatever yours are for.

I have always liked to be discreet where firearms are concerned, and I don't like anyone to even know I shoot, apart from those I choose.

Different ideals and incentives though.

All the best.

:) :)
