porkycrook 466
Daylight mag10, night mag5 through Nite-Site. Quote Link to post
andyfr1968 772
The best airgun scope I've ever owned was a Edgar Brothers fixed power 6x44 which I got about twenty years ago. It now lives on my mate Paul's HW90 as I gave it to him for helping me out big time last year. If it's a variable power scope I'm using they stay fixed on between 6 and 8 depending on the scope. Some makes 8x magnify no more than other's 6x, scopes can vary from make to make. Quote Link to post
Mawders 595
I've always shot on 10x even though my scopes go to 12x. I think my original reasoning for this was because 10x makes the milldots accurate according to my hawke books that came with the scope! I think if you change your mag whilst shooting it effects point of impact. Quote Link to post
Daz 7 563
Any Mag i feel like on the Rapid MK 2, As it's a FFP Falcon Menace so POI is not effected, And Fixed 10x Mag on the MTC Viper on the Prosport .22. atvb Daz 7. Edited June 28, 2012 by Daz 7 Quote Link to post
zini 1,939
10 day and 5 or 6 night Quote Link to post
mally 832
I keep mine on 6x on the air rifle. I like my mates doctor scope on his .243 though and thats 8x 56. Can't be arsed with altering them all the time as from experience by the time you've messed about the thing you were going to shoot at has probably done a bunk!! Quote Link to post
AR177 588
Depends on how far im shooting and with which calibre, .177 I use 10 mostly and 5 for upclose and personal .22 I use 2.5, 5 or 10 depending on how far the shot is I always double / half the mag so i can calculate my holds. pianoman 3,587
14.5 with my Hawke 6-18x44 SR12 reticle scope when calibrating the shotfall on my HW77 .22 over different ranges. That enables me to shoot at differing ranges accurately and comfortably through the changing light. ATB. Simon Quote Link to post
woodcote1 88
Hi guys, this is my first post although I've been a member for a while. I use x10 for most of my shooting but i prefer x5 for ratting . Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
Depends, times 8 on the SR6 and 14.5 on the SR12, gives me 5 metre steps with both on the holdover. Quote Link to post
Flow 18
I usually use x6 but I have a x4 fixed magnification scope on at the minute and its brilliant. Quote Link to post
Phantom 631
Usually 10 for day (but finding I'm using 12 more often for zero checking) but night time 5 or 6. When I've been ratting close up (pig farm) I go as wide as the scope will let me and zero for optimal trajectory so no need for hold over/under. Quote Link to post
davyt63 1,845
hi x10 for Daytime shooting targets, vermin, scope cam. x4 night time scope cam x 3 for night time ratting it works well for me! Quote Link to post
