FUD decoys with shell decoys?

can you mix fud and shell/full bodied decoys? im sure ive heard that its a no no but is it?

I've heard it said that you should try to keep all your decoys the same or at least similar but to be honest i dont think it makes much difference. The more the merrier. If you can find where they want to feed they'll decoy to anythin. Before i had the money to buy decoys i used to decoy them into coke bottles painted with aluminum wood primer!! Worked grand till you get a few dead birds out, then it seemed to flare them but by that stage i had all the real decoys i needed! Now i always add my dead birds to my spread of full bodys and shells and it seems to work fine. Atb Mark

I use shell and Fud folders for pigeon decoying, used them today and get them dropping straight into the decoys, i always use the Fuds as watcher's one watcher to 4 feeder's this works for me: Dave

I didn't like the FUDS - no movement. Better IMO to spend the dosh on Silosocks. A few Silosocks add a lot of movement to your pattern and if you cover your half shells with Silosocks jackets they all look the same.

thanks for the info lads, them fuds do looks like the bees knees though and the reviews seem to be quite positive. Still quite expensive though!
