GET THEM OUT (.)(.) 39
i only got out of prison in may, the prisons was full of growers, anything from small set ups to huge half a million pounds worth of profit jobs, some lads admit they said the wrong things and got slammed for it. in my opinion its a huge waste of money controlling it ( or trying to. ) when you see young lads come in with the sentence of death by dangerous driving, fully proven it was there fault, either drink driving, on the mobile etc, and they are getting 20months for killing someone because of being a complete waist of oxygen, bearing in mind they will only do 10months out of that, and will get home leaves and even 5 days at home once a month. un real ! hollands hope 1,024
Police will knock down the door of a man committing the heinous crime of growing a few plants and lock him up then have him taken to court. From what I hear far more serious crimes have been committed by Barclays and others in 'the city' Are the police bursting to knock down their doors and have them locked up and taken to court? For me smoking it everyday is just as bad as supping everyday, both will waste your money, health and see you loose loved ones, friends and work. As for our layabouts round here, they are a lot less hassle when they are stoned compared to when they are all pissed. In the end it all comes down to one thing,Money! PlasticJock 539
In your own home I think there should be more freedom of use. Even the police have said its a waste of their time to keep fining people for small amounts. I think a lot of the medical opinions are overhyped, but walking around stoned off your face all the time can't be good for you! It does work medicinally. I had one family member who had terminal MS and it was the only thing that worked for her. She lived 20 years longer than the doctors originally said she was going to. I'm not saying it was down to the dope but the improvement in the quality of life she enjoyed definately helped. Another chap I know has bad arthritis and uses the odd bit now and again to break the cycle of opiate based painkillers he needs to take because they can become addictive, and when it flares up it gets to a point after a few days where he can't sleep at night without taking the painkillers. They're never going to win this 'war on drugs', it's just a pointless exercise that diverts money from more vital areas of law enforcement, especially when it comes to cannabis . I don't honestly think it would lead to more people taking it because if you have an interest in it, the fact that it's illegal wont stop you.. I know it works medicinally malt, I meant the 'experts' who say its responsible for this and that, government propaganda at its best
littlefish 585
Should you be able to drive while using it? Or be left in charge of children while using it?

Thing is most medical experts dont agree with that old line now though. Just look at what happened when labour commissioned that study before they reclassified it as a class B. they paid millions of pounds for the top scientists in their fields to come their own independent conclusion on what the best course of action should be, then totally went against that conclusion and reclassified it anyway after an article in the daily mail. Millions of pounds down the drain for f**k all. Then they 'asked' the lead scientist of their drug committee to stand down after he got a scientific study published that proved that cannabis and ecstasy were less harmful than tobacco and alcohol. WILF 46,875
Drugs are 'the killer of bright futures' . . . . . . . . . ?????? Any idea, how many very successful, intelligent, talented etc folk, smoked a bit of pot????? People have been smoking it since way way way way back, before the Romans, it's even referenced in the bible. At the end of the day, they chuck crazy amounts of money and man power at the problem and it only gets bigger. So a change of policy is in order i think. By legalizing it, the biggest advantage, is taking the money out of the hands of organized crime, which in turn uses the profits from growing and selling weed, for other far far far worse things, such as people smuggling, heroin trafficking and terrorism. It also stops us criminalizing people who wish to alter their mind in one way, and not the other legally sanctioned way. It's frankly ludicrous, to give folk hassle for smoking a joint, and yet condone the drinking of alcohol, which has a far greater potential for harm. This is the type of thing that makes me laugh, why is heroine worse then? There's been plenty of talented and artistic people who have and do function perfectly well while being heroine/ opium addicts......should we legalise that as well? And when it's legal and someones son or daughter comes home with a gramme of horse, then we would all be fine with that would we? Is it all about " progress" then?......because if it is, then we all think it's fine that queers can all bugger each other from the age of 16 ( legally still a child) It's got f**k all to do with if it's good or bad for the individual, all these lowering of barriers is shit for society at large that's the important thing. Keep it under wraps, keep it illegal and hopefully my kids and there kids won't think it's all OK
PlasticJock 539
Nothing wrong with heroin if it's used what it was intended for.... We think it's the worst drug out there but couldn't be further from the truth. I'm at work but post some info later
scothunter 12,609
Think we all know that pj. That's why it's called "drug abuse" ! As for looking after a kid under the influence of cannabis. I admire your stance, only if you uphold that right through the board. Would you think a few glasses of wine and looking after a kid be ok?

Announce in the pub one night that you have a cellar full of cheap cider that you have made and you'll have folk throwing there money at you wanting to buy it.....on the other hand announce you have a crop growing and you'll be a 'dirty druggy b*****d' and some wanker will grass on you....
