matthews 88 77
Another friend works as a nurse in a large hospital in London . She says there's a lot more young people coming into the physchiatric wards with mental problems because of strong cannabis! I don't know of it's because more people are smoking it than drinking alcohol . But whatever it's Defo messing a lot of kids up! yes but along with what else there prop smoking weed drinking and smoking that legal bud but as like cheese burgers or coffee to much is not good for you

MoChara 1,632
I know people who smoke/smoked it (included). They're mental health is fine, although some get a bit on edge if they dont have it.. Its the paranoia (sp) that's the bit that would commonly happen though..
marshman 7,757
I agree everything in moderation! But you can have a life long addiction to most things before you drop dead. But eating cheeseburgers and drinking coffee ain't going to send you mental!
The Seeker 3,048
all drugs should be legal, least they could put tax on them and they could make them cheaper and cleaner, crime rates would go down! if people want to take them they will anyway! Agree totally, legalise all drugs heroin, smack, coke the lot , have them manufactured in this country so the drugs are as clean and harmless (if there can be such a thing) as possible and either prescription issue them or sell them legally through a licensed premises. Just about all serious crime organisations would be out of business within a week, all the skankheads breaking into homes cars mugging people will be hugely reduced to levels never seen before. Crime would fall through the floor The Police would have thousands and thousands of more man hours to spend dealing with serious crime we all want dealing with. Prisons would no longer be overcrowded. Let all the ones that want to OD themselves to death get on with it and those that want to get off the drugs give them the best help and support money can buy funded by the revenue raised from the selling of the drugs in the 1st place. I am not a drug user not even cannabis but if some politician had the balls to vote this through I'd vote for him, but alas it would be political suicide.

Cant the goverment just give people a bit of freedom to do as they please. Make it like alcohol so you cant drive so it doesn't effect other road users and away ye go........ Malt 379
In your own home I think there should be more freedom of use. Even the police have said its a waste of their time to keep fining people for small amounts. I think a lot of the medical opinions are overhyped, but walking around stoned off your face all the time can't be good for you! It does work medicinally. I had one family member who had terminal MS and it was the only thing that worked for her. She lived 20 years longer than the doctors originally said she was going to. I'm not saying it was down to the dope but the improvement in the quality of life she enjoyed definately helped. Another chap I know has bad arthritis and uses the odd bit now and again to break the cycle of opiate based painkillers he needs to take because they can become addictive, and when it flares up it gets to a point after a few days where he can't sleep at night without taking the painkillers. They're never going to win this 'war on drugs', it's just a pointless exercise that diverts money from more vital areas of law enforcement, especially when it comes to cannabis . I don't honestly think it would lead to more people taking it because if you have an interest in it, the fact that it's illegal wont stop you..
