Leave the law as it is and stop jailing people for growing it ffs [bANNED TEXT] theirs far worst crimes commited and the culprits walk free but saying that crack and smack dealers no matter how big or

all drugs should be legal, least they could put tax on them and they could make them cheaper and cleaner, crime rates would go down! if people want to take them they will anyway!

Lets just wait and see..in another 20 years the nut wards will be overrun with old stone heads suffering bouts of phsycosis . The skunk available now is way more potent than it used to be and imo will

Aye scot - full of drink, every time.

PJ - Some have no clue, some just dont care, and some actually think it's normal.

It's standard where i work. They think they are 'adults' at 13/14. Probably because most folk have kids by 17/18/19, so they do their 'living' 12-16.

They think it's proper weird and old fashioned for someone to wait until 16 to have sex, they al drink, all smoke, and most have taken drugs.

What i really hate, is that it seems acceptable for 16/17 year olds to shag 12/13 year old girls.

It's shitty, and i have to pick up the pieces when it finaly all dawns on them . . . .

And you think the answer is to remove yet more boundaries ?......not being funny, serious question matey

Are we talking about the cannabis use?

I dont think it should be free and easy and handed out to kids etc.

But at the moment EVERY kid i see in school can buy it easier than they can get alcohol. They sneak about smoking it, and a ot of the time no one knows until its a big problem.

I would like to see the money put into arresting folk for smoking it and growing it for themselves etc, put instead, into education.

I'd like to see open and honest discussion about the dangers, whilst accepting the positives. The kids at the moment hear 'its evil, it will ruin your life', then they smoke a joint and hey, its ok, kind of fun, not that evil at all, so they assume we are lying about ALL of the negatives, and discount everything we say about it.

I would like to see massive sentences for those caught selling it privatly, or dealing it on the streets etc.

I'd like to see the money taken from the hands of those who use that maney then for far worse shit.

And i'd like, if they have to, folk to buy it from somewhere sanctioned, where strength can be monitered, use can be monitered, and not some f****r who will also sell them some crack, m-cat, or swap them weed for an old ladies purse, or worse, a blow job.

Back to the drugs, I've smoked weed, and done steroids a few times. Been tempted a few years ago to try some legal highs like salvia, but mentally it wouldn't be a good idea. I guess some are designed to cope with things ie addiction and effects of certain drugs, and some aren't.

I know more 'sane' and normal long term smokers than I do complete wasters.

Criminalising drugs obviously hasn't worked, why people cling onto the idea out of fear is beyond me. We have to adapt and try new ideas if we want to progress as a civilisation, refusing to talk about something openly and listening to real expert advice is similar to the dark ages.

How many on here moan at the government who pay millions for expert advice on hunting related issues, then fcuk it off anyway? Well, exactly the same thing is being done with drugs, and has been for years.

No way on gods green earth should any weed or other drugs be legalised, yes everyone has seen the usual zombie junkie in the street going for his/her fix or just had it..but where did he/she start???................. i know,!!! they start by trying a smoke at some weed,(and i know NOT ALL weed smokers progress to other drugs) then SOME progress to maybe some pills then eventually when they want an even better hit they try the ultimate heroin, BUT to feed this expensive habit they have now they will steal, they will lie, usually to their long suffering parents or family members, they will do everything in their power to get the money regardless of who they hurt or rob. there are a lot of older parents of drug addicts out there that take the abuse flung at them for their money or are being bled dry by a drug addict son or daughter only because they dont understand they are making the situation worse by letting them have a good home to come to whenever they feel like, some parents always believe their son or daughter are going to get better, (and some do) . BUT most addicts be it drugs or alcohol cause terrible grief to their families.you also get the diseases that go hand in hand with drug addicts, hepatitis (most have this one to some degree a/b/c, hiv , and lots more.............then some may go on a methadone programe, get it free and still take their drugs, still causing grief !!!!!!!!!!!

The thread above saying kids need to be educated more regards drugs and sex education couldn't be more wrong..........they know a lot more than me or you.

i do not want drugs legalised in any way as i am totally against them and dont want my grandchildren growing up in an even worse environment thinking it's ok to take drugs of any description...........i have seen first hand what they do be it weed or worse and it disgusts me to the core, totally ruins so many lives when their is an addict in a family!!

Actually they probably started by drinking alcohol.

If you think LESS education is the key, you really need yur head read, the kids THINK they know a lot, but in reality, its a mixture of mis-information, rumour and total crap.

What i REALLY cant grasp is the fact that folk dont get that drugs are currently illegal - and they are FECKING EVERYWHERE. I could go anywhere in this country and fill my car boot full!

IT JUST DOESNT WORK. So maybe time for a new approach???

That don't suprise me jai, frightening , thank f**k I don't have that worry. Respect to all parents I couldn't do it.

Aye it;s THE HARDEST part of the job mate, hearing a wee, cute, seemingly nice, girl of about 13, telling you how she was f****d in the arse by TWO guys in the park last night. And when asked why? Answer - Dunno, why not?

They think it's normal.

Do you think that type of attitude was the norm in the 50s or 30s or 40s??.........and the reason you see it today is that we have slowly accepted more and more in society to a point where kids and the family's they come from think this is normal behaviour!!!

Not so long ago in the great span of time they would have locked people in the nuthouse for behaving in ways that some of us now see as " normal" .............that's where all your misplaced understanding gets you.

I don't really think it is society in general mate, its the creation of a kind of 'sub culture', where there is a total lack of education.

I think it DID happen back then, probably not as much, but it did, only then, there wasnt anyone like me to listen to what the kids are saying and try to work with them to educate them.

But i DO agree that society, or at least parts of society are rotten. You are right there.

But its important not just to say 'dont do it' but to find out why - and 90 % of the time, the kids are f****d up because they are hurting over something, usually something at home. It always comes back round to the parents.

Big issue - too many folk have kids, when they dont really know what to do with them or want to take the time and put in the effort to raise them properly.

I totally agree about the sub culture thing matey, but I disagree that we should strive to understand them........we should lock them the f**k up ( ideally, we should do away with them) for polluting our society and making it a nastier place for our children.

You wouldn't let someone be a danger to your kids on a one to one level and yet we seem to accept that because a whole section of society chose to live outside normal moral codes we should try and help them!!.....Like f**k, we should gas the fuckers!

The thing is mate, it's becoming a very large 'sub culture' indeed.

If i had my way, i'd shoot or sterilize at least, most folk.

The thing is WE CAN, change things, but you need to work on the kids, and change their world view, and so break the cycle.

The things is - i'd have to say, i know a lot of folk who take drugs, who i would trust to ook after my kids far more than some of the feckers i meet who don't.

I know you don't drink wilf, but let's be honest up and down the country , every night. Legally readily available drug ie drink is put in kids hands.

I would defo say that is what had changed this nation, and made it pretty unsafe to walk around at night. It's turned the youth of today into a violent mob.

I wouldnt call it surrender. I would just change the form of attack.

End aim - to reduce the harm that drugs do in society.

That will always be the goal, but at the moment, each year, we up the amount we throw at the war on drugs and each year, the amount of folk taking them increases.

If you look at countrys where they legalised it, it takes a lot of the mystecism out, as well as making it FAR more regulated, and ultimatly the number of every day young kids getting mixed up in the greatly reduces.

Seriously.

Like I have said already many times, I have no beef with the individual sound fella who smokes a bit of weed, it's the wider implications of removing yet another taboo.

But then again, I also think so called gangsta rap should be banned lol lol.........

Each to there own , its not something i have ever been into & never would , i do think drink has a lot more in the way of '' casualtys'' & effects not just the drinker but the people closest to, its what basically finnished my marriage , a husband who if deprived of drink was '' off his head''

But I am glad to say that nearly 2 years later , he seems to have gone someway to clean up his act

No offence whippet but when did young adults take what thier elders say as gospel? They prob know more about drugs andvits affects than us.

We all dabbled in stuff when we're young, it's called growing up. Yes you can advise them, but in most cases will just laugh . IMHO all those robbing junkies, are just weak minded , and thier demise can't come quick enough for me. Only a waster will stick that needle in his arm.

as a parent i wouldnt want my lads comeing on here and reading this thread , ok to smoke but not too inject.............................

good to hear kay , my mate whilst led in bed drunk was awoken by an angry misses and as he was getting up he nutted her , now theres no time for women beaters for me , he was punished by the court and you could say he had a problem , he has never touched a drop since , thats four years ago . really frightened him i think. hes a changed man and still regrets what he done to this day, she gets everything she wants off him now and they have just had a kid. so aswell as yours there are happy endings but its hard to live with someone on the booze no doubt. right time to walk the hounds lol
