shotgunny 39 Posted June 27, 2012 Report Share Posted June 27, 2012 Hi lads I've a field peas being hit hard by pigeons but my problem is they are dropping in the middle of the field after resting on electricity lines running through the field. Has any body tried setting up a hide around the electricity poles so I can be where the birds are dropping in ? Atb myles Quote Link to post
remi700 99 Posted June 28, 2012 Report Share Posted June 28, 2012 The last time I tried that the feckers kept lightin on the wires about 100 yards from the coys and watchin them for a while before buggerin off!! Shoot out of a layout blind now year round and try to get as far from wires and big trees as possible. The middle of the fields defiantly the spot to be. Atb Mark. Quote Link to post
predatorman 54 Posted June 28, 2012 Report Share Posted June 28, 2012 i have set up under pylons as these usually have a bit of cover where it isnt cut under the legs. good place to shoot from. tried next to telegraph poles but have to leave the hide there for a few days to get them used to it. remi, if you dont mind me asking, whats a layout blind, how is it made or constructed? regards, pred Quote Link to post
