some times higher is better PJ as the birds have to fly/flutter down rather than just jumping down which is better for their feet,

MOST BUMBLE FOOTS IN ENGLISH / IRISH TYPE FOWL ARE ..... CAUSED BY PERCHES BEING TOO LOW ........ OF COURSE BOTTOMS ARE IMPORTANT ,.......BUT BUMBLEFOOT CAN BE CAUSED IN GOOD LITTER BY THE PERCHES BEING TOO LOW AND THE FOWL DROPPING DOWN RATHER THAN FLYING ......................
