Carraghs Gem 1,675 Posted June 27, 2012 Report Share Posted June 27, 2012 Im in the pub as I type this, local junkie was selling what he thought was a harris hawk out of the back of his vehicle It turned out to be a fledgeling kestrel, couldnt leave him with it so I bought it off him for a tenner, can anyone put me in touch with a suitable wildlife rescue or can anyone help with a couple days worth of chicks/mice until I can get it to a rescue Quote Link to post

Things have got a little more difficult as the nights gone on, nephew is dead so OH has flipped, desperately need wildlife rescue or food for this bop, transport is nil, im in west of ireland Quote Link to post

You did the right thing by rescueing the bird from that clown, but I would still report him to the NPWS as it sounds like a serious wildlife crime was commited for that bird to come into his possesion.
