Well I'm currently building new kennels for two dogs , both kennels will be 11 ft by 8 ft one on the right one on the left they will be joined in the middle by a 8ft by 6ft shed which will be halfed off so they will each get 4th by 3ft bed area.

8' X 6' is a good sized kennel for a lurcher, i have 3 8' x 4' kennels 2 are for the terriers and 1 has my lurchers beds in it which is never closed so they can go in and out as they please and have access to their area which is around 25' x 18'

it's plenty room for 1 lurcher, so long as it gets plenty exercise everyday, are you going to have mesh or bars at one side as a shed would be far too warm for a dog to be locked in for long periods, i have a roof covering my galvanised kennels and the dogs are warm enough in there in their beds even in winter through the day

Im goin to put a stable door on it so the top half can be open during the day meshed off so he cant jump out and locked during the night and there will be a window in there so that can be left open during the night

Be ideal so long as you dont have a dog that chews, it's one of the things i dont like about wood, here's mine, i've had these kennels for 14yrs,in front of the kennels is the large run area which has a 6' wall round it............ my dogs all come in at night though :icon_redface:
