thanks for the replies guy, and no I aint fishing.

 

I am interested as getting a dog for a wedding pressent to be used over rats with our current JRT and the possability of foxes.

correct me if i'm wrong but im sure ive read somewhere that mungrel jackrussel type terriers were the 1st terriers used for fox, then patterdales got introduced further along the line and only became more popular when the bleeper was introduces as lads that were wanting something harder could find there mute dogs in big earths as the ear to the ground didn't work.. but i could be mistaken
