MUDD 374
Even with the current threat to the working terrier one of the first things suggested was to help recover stolen and lost dogs when the Federation was formed. WITHOUT A DOUBT, the busiest dog thieves in Ireland at the moment are the gang in Limerick and the two lads in Northern Ireland. Something must and will be done but IMO we have to drive it home to ALL folk that these dogs are being stolen because there's a market there for second hand dogs. Simple as that. Too many people are willing to buy dog with no questions asked. It can't be encouraged. Well said Neil. Quote Link to post
fox digger 1,086
as asked before where in tipp folks? i think i know of the crowd in questuion that use that estate. i had my dogs lifted at christmas, with massive help from a gentleman that is on here aswell we located them and luckily got them back. since then ive spent a small fortune moving the pens into an old stone shed i havein the yard, put heavy grids on the windows, plated steel door, about another 4 locks to get through if they do manage to get into the shed before they get to the dogs, dont think they will tho, i even lined all the underside of the rafters with heavy reinforcing mesh so if they lift slates to get in they are met with more steel bars!! way over the top but when you wake up and find your dogs gone its a small price to pay if you could of prevented it. these scum cost us the tax payers a fortune and then they try rob us, like a bad dog that bites the hand that feeds them, 4 Quote Link to post
hunting1234 122
The pricks robbing them are selling them here and in the UK - the fellas buying them are as bad and they know full well what they have. We can target the latter easily - make it as uncomfortable for them as possible to work these dogs. Soon every terrier man in the country will know of the IWTF and better still be a member of an affiliated club - very easy to check the website for pics if you had doubts about a new terrier someone picked up. It would be another small step in stopping these posts on here. What do people think? that whould be a good job Quote Link to post
