nick783 4
Hiya all, A question I have got after getting some permission today. Loads of rabbits on two banks with a little stream inbetween them. The stream is 1 metre wide and 4 inches deep. Can/do rabbit run or jump these? Any light shed will be appreciated! tegater 789
Haha of course they will, unless a long net is in the way! 1 Quote Link to post
patterdalejoel 669
doubt if it would jump rather than could, but if pressured i would say so. if the stream ever runs dry i would say this is how they get across, but i did bolt a rabbit from a hole bout 1 and a half inches in water at entrance but got drier as it went in.. I have a small river a little wider than a metre, and the rabbits are always making their escape across it whenever they can, by jumping over. Quote Link to post
debur 0
I've seen a rabbit swim aprox 10m pond to escape and it's surprising how good it was too.Head held high above the waterline and hardly a splash!A one metre ditch,no problem. Quote Link to post
The one 8,477
They will jump it no problem at all mate the only time it would be a problem if it flooded the burrows Quote Link to post

Mainly when I am first approaching, and some scatter across the river into the woodland on the other bank which has plenty of rhodies as cover. Quote Link to post
