mintstick999 485
I managed 3 but throw one back because it was why to small to keep., but took the rest home. Shame they lose their beautiful shine after being left in a bucked of water for the rest of the night. Quote Link to post

Mustard. 83
Nice to get a couple of them! I'm going next week myself, ill be fishing from the beach when the tide's in. I had a go lasts year without any luck, someone told me that i was casting out too far Should i be casting out at 45 degrees instead of straight out Quote Link to post
neil cooney 10,416
Mustard, where I fish for bass is best fished for the 2 hours after a low tide, but that's an estuary. Yet, 4 miles down the coast they say to fish the three hours before a high tide and come in with the tide is best. Timing can be a big factor in bass fishing. 1 Quote Link to post

I had a go lasts year without any luck, someone told me that i was casting out too far Should i be casting out at 45 degrees instead of straight out The problem with beach fishing for bass is that not all beaches fish the same, the beach i caught these fish on you only need to lightly lob the bait out, any further and you'll miss them You don't tend to catch many on here in day light..........BUT as soon as it's dark they come in to feed and then it can be non stop action I fished this beach the other week and had 6 but the bloke i fish with and (he was standing right next to me) had none. This is the beach in day light, but what you can't see in the photo is the dip just before the small reef. thats where the bass feed in dark. Rule of thumb.......the more shallow the beach, the further you will need to cast ...........the steeper the beach, just lob the bait, because they are most probably under your nose!!!! again this is in dark, I don't bass fish much in the day because i'm busy with my dogs.......... dawn and dusk is the best time for plugging, this i've yet to confirm because i've only just bought a plugging rod. 2 Quote Link to post
