just back from furnace got 40 between three of us in a couple of hours and some nice pollock good size macks and a few joeys

where abouts were you mate and what weight were they

Sathy point didnt weight them but estimate about 1.1/2 lbs nice eating size. Did you get any pollack at funace?

we did mate up to 5 pounds lost a few aswell going up tommorow morning first light what do you use when your going for pollock we use sand eels and spinners

just bought some sidewinder eals they are supposed to be the nuts for pollock not the cheapest at £5 for three..going to the mull on thursday for a go at the mackeral,,cant wait ,wont be getting there till 1oclock or so,will have to check the tide tables and take a chance

got 3 pollack yesterday bad for being out a few hrs, largest was 2 1/2 lb

 

1 small mackeral

Lead head and jelly worm or raggies for the pollack usually rag. Had some good fish off furnace over the years havent fished it for about 3 years though.

i was going to use mackeral for pollock bait and some eals, do you think i should take some rag worm with me aswell to be one the safe side?

had over 30 in 50 mins down ere on the south coast, huge shoals of mackerel and sprats.

you cant go wrong with raggies theres always someting that will go for them nice change from spinning tight lines
