gnasher16 30,280
spot on, all our english players look good in the prem, because of the foreign players. When they have to play as a team with (none ) foreign players they show what they are, a class down . and as above untill they change the way we play football , we will keep seeing what was shown last night  We was speaking to some Italians after the game they said our game ( England ) is in exactly the same position their game was in back in the ,s and i think they spoke a lot of sense......we all remember great British players like Trevor Francis,Souness,Liam Brady,Platt,Mcmanaman,Gazza all going out to Italian clubs.....then the likes of Lineker,Hughes etc going to Spain.........its no different now only the place to be is England...................after a while Italian clubs were not only bringing over the great foreign players but the average ones too........and thats what we are doing now in England.....yes its great to have the top foreign players in our game, the danger is when clubs start bringing over average foreign players in place of bringing through English talent.....................Italy had to draw the line on how many foreigners could play for any one team and their game improved for it.....we have to do the same,id like to see a rule that no club can play more than 6 foreign players in any competetive match........ tandors 888
I thought the fa couldn't limit the number of foreign players because of eu work laws. Also the amount of grassroots coaches other countries have compared to England is staggering the Spanish and Dutch etc have over 30000 registered coaches we have just over 2500. I also question the commitment of the clearly non English players in the squad
