border lad 1,047
leave well alone even Chalkwarren stated when ferreting, you need a good dog to mark, what ever breed, but it is nice if the dog has the ability to catch the bolted rabbit, there is a lot of jealousy and Hatred on this ole forum let your dogs do the talking, and chill out,and enjoy your day, the truth is the truth, Quote Link to post
Rabbithunter 456
I cant see wht the big deal is, all I can see is a picture of a dog 'marking'. That whin wants to get proper dog collie cur minshers, back in the 80s 90s these dogs had big rep for big numbers of the rab hare roe... Back in the early 2000s I had a ferrit that would mark a rabbit and it would pull roe 40quid each, made loads of ££ self made man but the ferrets main capabilities where diving in the esk juat north south of the border gods land whitehaven cumbria you know edinburgh... And they would pull 100lb salmon out there was a man from LONGTOWN, (((( LAANGTOON)) AND he swears his little Jack russel NIP, pulled a 10lb salmon from the ESK, the pool just belowethe road bridge as you come from Gretna, into LAANGTOON, but its today june2012 and on that counts,, AS I said son when I was down in WEST cumbria, there was not A lURCHER TO BE FOUND, only the travelling boys had them on there camp -site on the old waste ground along were the old IRON WORKS ONCE WAS, NOW ITS A WASH WITH THEM, and the Fells are bare except for sheep and foxes, thats what you achieve, with your great bags, SUMMER HUNTERS they can not allow the annimals to breed, and leave half the stuff behind them,,,, yes you have all done exceptionally well, I aint your son I think your full of shite BL and I have it on good word that you dont actually have a clue, jusy talk the talk 1 Quote Link to post
chartpolski 24,549
I stick by what I said previously; all I can see in that picture is one dog tied to a container and another dog gazing down the back of the container towards the fence/road/river !! To state that was the only dog at the show that can mark a rabbit hole is ludicrous and, frankly, an insult to all the lads that were there with working Lurchers and terriers ! Cheers. border lad 1,047
Rabbithunter you are right, I dont have a clue,,,,,I fumbled my way through life, on my journeys I travelled this broad land, and further a field, Quote Link to post
B.P.R 2,798
i bet if it was somebody elses dog then it would have been 'looking out at the road'. some people have their tongues up members backsides so far that theyre licking the bottom of their adams apple wonder why you felt the need to strart a new topic rimming whin Edited June 28, 2012 by Blue Pocket Rocket 1 Quote Link to post

Some give a mark that a none hunter can see others give a slight glance and move on , then there are those that can and do become what his turmed a liar , on the marking . ITS has much of the handler to realise at times when a lurcher his given a mark of honesty the knowledg of types and experience in the field his the only way to gleen this . atb bunnys.
