The members of this section that attended were supporting Treat4BritishTroops.   They managed to raise a staggering £1100 along with the proceeds from The Rise of the Verminators charity DVD, so wel

Just a sign of how genuine everyone at the meet was/is, as everyones prized possesions were often left lying around unattended .... like darryl's panther left out in the dark...and his R10! haha   A

Thats going to be a tad unfair aint it Davy?

Break barrels, under/side levers take differing times to load and then of course the Multi Shot PCP's have an advantage over single shot guns and then as Chas proved in the speed shoot off last time having a number of pre-loaded clips helps

Mind you tony, the upside of that is that pianoman can't win everything! Good point though mate, maybe the comps can be split into pcp and springer sections davy?

although in my case, it'll just be prolonging my agony, at least I can blame using a springer for doing poorly...

Cheers, wurz

As I am unfortunately unable to attend this one John, you can be my spring rifle protege. Just don't lose the toss to Adam in the darts or you are in for a short sit down and a Hamlet cigar! And don't let his Airwolf get to you or you'll be stumped at the bell end..Er.. the bell target that finishes the round! (Goddammit!)

In the HFT just take your time and assess each target as an individual challenge not a sequence. Nice breathing control, watch every fall of your shot in practice to correct for ranges outside your zero and don't get over-pissed up the night before!

If Si is shooting with a spring rifle....Think it a great honour to compete against such a formidable marksman...and defeat him at the target!

AND DON'T DEVIATE FROM YOUR PRACTICED ZERO!!!!

I will be with you in spirit, young spring rifle Jedi.

Simon the Pianoman.

I'll be taking my freshly tuned by me ProSport in mans calibre, possibly for the HFT as I don't have a very good record with the HW100 after the barrel coming loose at the last one.... Oh and ill probably bring the rest of my arsenal too.... So feel free to ask if anyone wants to shoot one of mine....

Hello Aaron Welcome to the section here mate.

If no one can answer this with certainty, you should check with UK Government Home Office rules and/or contact the UK Customs and Revenue who control what you can and cannot bring into England. You should be fine with your sub-12ft/lb rifles as they do not fall under restriction of British firearms law, other than to say it is perfectly legal to own one without a certificate. But they will be a bit twitchy about anything higher powered. :hmm: Google these for contact details and good luck.

Hope to meet you with us all here someday!

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.

Simon

Thanks, Simon ! I hop in and out of here somewhat frequently, but hadn't been back in awhile as I really didn't have anything further to add with getting ready for my deployment and what not. Then several months ago, I got to working with some UK troops and we got to talking air rifles and hunting and it reminded me that I need to quit being a stranger over here .
