Me and a mate were walking home after a few pints one saturday knight,well pissed and larey. My mate spotted a football up the street,ran up to wallop it,next my mate was on the ground screaming like a bitch. I genuinely pissed myself for a day over that...... when I grew up a fella lived two doors up from me was a very well known lurcherman and I would love his tales of lurchers terriers etc. being "masterpieces" or "class acts" on the friday and on monday they would be sold as they were "articles"..His sole long lived dog was the most horrid looking russell I have ever seen to this day, It was f*****g horrendous and called Nip..... One tale went along the lines of some greyhound men had been round to his and a bet was arranged, Yep thats right, Nip Vs the greyhounds, Off to the local track and BANG the traps went up , The greyhounds are away but by some miracle of canine lore, Nip is leading on the last straight , AND THEN IN a reenactment of the victory, My mate says in all seriousness...."He comes over the line, Sees me in the crowd, RAISES HIS LITTLE PAW AND LOOKS STRAIGHT at me saying, Ive pissed this ! he was a one off and I miss his tales Quote Link to post Share on other sites

bushing lad 114 Posted June 23, 2012 Report Share Posted June 23, 2012 (edited) my grandad said he caught a 6lb rabbit with his lurcher. I believe him because he doesnt need to lie about it and my dad saw it aswell, but that is a huge rabbit! he never caught anything near that size again and neither have I or my dad.
