International football? Every manager close enough to our island worth talking about would know what they had done for a team and why they weren't playing in the spl so that wouldn't affect them. Sitting in the pub at 65 still a very wealthy man with my name on the wall of fame would mean more than money I would probably never get to spend. Suppose mcgregor will be really looking forward to international football LOL cos we've got a good shout we done well in the euros, well maybe not. Everyman values his pride in a different way ye couldn't buy mine and a don't just mean football, no even fur a Rolex and a range rover but like a said everymans different a can tell by this Convo money's high up in your requirements mate which is fair enuff were all different. I'd much rather do what i was intended to do and play football at the highest level i could, make as much money as i could and then family could be looked after llong when i'm gone. Infact i could even look at that as a bit selfish that you'd throw it all away just for a pat on the back....but as you say we are seeing things from a different angle. I also wouldn't mind a sneaky peak at the banks accounts...i bet theres not as much in there as you think. Remember there not Rooney or Messi...they were not getting 50/60k a week....more like 10k...if that. When you live the high life then that money doesn't go far unless you have the brains to invest it. I wouldn't say it's selfish as they ain't exactly going bankrupt and living in poverty mate lol just giving a bit, might mean a couple less hi end escorts a month keep the range rover for another year and don't renew the ferrari for a year or 2 poor souls tht they are but am sure they could manage, the intrest they get probably exceeds mine and your yearly Salarys put together by a severe amount, but that's the way it gos, am not defending rangers players cos there no rangers players lol ats why were here. Your talking about docking other people's wages stockbrokers etc, I was just saying I could open a can of worms about a lot of things. Don't know if your up to date with the current situation with rangers players or ex rangers players but that's why we got onto wages, if your not then you've mis understood a whole lot about the topic. Grant C......Rangers problem is their problem not footballs.........They,re not in the position they,re in because Wayne Rooney or Frank Lampard earn a mill a month !!................and what you would do with a high wage is nothing to do with it either ..............Cant really see what relevance any money outside Scotland has to do with it to be honest.....but in fairness i havent followed the whole saga so its not for me to have an opinion....i was just referring to your statements about players wages in general. Celtic were bad for paying loyal fan/players less than the going rate cos they knew they could. I though magregor was a rangers man and he surprised me. He could have signed a 1 year contract and stayed until Christmas just till rangers get some form of stability etc. Rangers would get a fee and he'd get a good deal too. I disliked Barry ferguson with a passion but he showed his loyalty with rangers when he signed that 5 year contract. He knew they wanted to cash in on him and he made sure they got top dollar.
