readie 184 Posted June 21, 2012 Report Share Posted June 21, 2012 as above,ive had im from 10 weeks old hes bred from racing whippet vivs quest bitch was a small whippetxterrier. hes now 3 yrs old problem with him hes 100 percent flat out on anything he sees but if they hop into long grass/hedging etc he just carries on running for another 100 yards flat out.the worst thing is if hes seen no rabbits he will work constantly in the hedges/grass etc until he finds one to chase before he loses sight of it then starts looking all over again.-anyone have any thoughts etc. Quote Link to post

blackmaggie 3,376 Posted June 22, 2012 Report Share Posted June 22, 2012 readie if hes out every other day how many runs is he getting and are they runs he as a chance of catching as you stated when they hop and not run into a hedge he runs past if you lamp him pick and choose your runs so he has the best chance of catching a bit like a dog just starting of squatters or bunnys well out and walk up to them so he is almost on top before they get up and if you can get out more than a few hrs every other day i know its not always possible but more runs he gets the better im sure it will click Quote Link to post
