Similar thing, got a call from a bloke who had done a barn conversion, he evicted some owls, so to redress the balance he put up an owl box. & in moved the hornets! torchey 1,328
What do you do torchey, if it does happen to be bumble bees? I would take the box away and put it else where, you would really have to piss a bumble bee off for it to sting

Wullz 408
Mate of mine fron Nairn was on the beating line on a drive last year and stood on a wasps nest......I doubt if Usain Bolt would have caught him, he was dragging 3 labs too......right into a wee lochan he went.....good job the water was there or he would have been stung much worse.....
walshie 2,804
I havent seen a wasp yet, but there was something that looked like a giant version crawling on my window sill last week. I think it might have been a hornet. Swatting with a newspaper only stunned it. Had to finsih it off with my maglite. Ugh!
bendrover 556
Been too cold for the little fuckers and i'm glad. Dogs were stung loads of times last year and the amount of nests i found dug out by badgers was unreal. Couldn't go a walk without getting stung... you get buisy years and so on mate last 2 years have been quite lucrative, but the season before that was quiet
