White spots on lungs and liver

Recommended Posts

Okay, so if the "White Spots" were Liver Fluke, the meat is safe to eat, I still wouldn't want to eat it, because it would take a microscope to ID the fluke, but what if it wasn't the Liver Fluke and as I said earlier there are many causes of spotting on a liver of an animal. ;)

Not to mention the fact that liver tastes ruddy awful anyway! :bad: :bad: :bad:

a lot of people dislike offal but i reckon it tastes great, and is very undervalued as a protein source, especially when you consider its cost compared to other meat.

i like to chuck rabbit liver, kidneys and heart in a frying pan with a bit of diced up bacon and have an early brekky of it when camping, properly sets me up for the day, and tastes spot on.

cheers, wurz

I would of said coccidiosis in the picture with the blue gloves ?. And another reason for wearing gloves is gutting a few rabbits makes your hands smell and repeated washing doesn't remove it

Tell me about it Tony. I'm told the meds I'm on "shouldn't" affect my memory, so I guess it must have been the two lots of OHS, and the 5 hours on the heart/lung machine that did it :icon_eek:

I'm lucky, no painkillers needed now, tramadol was a b*****d though!

I was going to write something else, but I forget what it was
