onelesscharlie 0
Hi Welshdragon Ive got a 527 american in .223 and its a great no nonsense foxer. Its fitted with a 6-25 x 50 side focus scope and does exactly what it says on the tin. If youre on a tight budget i dont think you can beat em. Onelesscharlie Quote Link to post
Guest baldie
Most standard .223,s are barrelled with a 1 in 12" twist on them buddy, this enables them to shoot bullets in the 40 to 60 grain weight class, which is perfectly suitable for an all round vermin gun. However, some are specifically 1 in 9", and these will handler bullets in the 55 to 69 grain class, which is a better bet for a long range target gun, especially with the 69 grain bullets. The tikka t3 actually has a 1 in 8" barrel, and surprisingly , shoots allsorts from 55 grains upwards, including the heavyweight 77 grain matchking bullets. The cz 527 is a fine gun, its a 1 in 12", if you want a 1 in 9", you need the 527 tactical, with its heavier barrel, and hs precision stock[ a cracking rifle, full stop] The tikka is a fine gun, as is the remington, personally, i think the cz offers most for the money. Guest baldie
You would have to ring the shop mate, as i,ve no idea, but i know there is one in. Quote Link to post
Oly 12
Would be tempted for something other than the Rem SPS...it's the cheap version and as such can feel cheap too. Might be worth taking a look at other models in the Remington family (which I would recommend over those mentioned so far). :thumbs-up: Quote Link to post
