A good mate of mine is passionate about (pure and registered) fox terriers for digging,. No joke!

He's got 2 pups coming on, 1 has just had it 1st couple of digs and hopefully will be a dog we are digging to in the future. The other is a little bit less immature but will get lots more opportunities. The dam of the pups is about 6 year old, she has been dug to since she was a year old, I remember us letting her run a sette we thought we had emptied, and she started baying, she was about 4 month old. Dropped down in the already dug hole and got her out, more quarry peering out! Got a photo somewhere of that day. Im not intending to big her up, she gets dug to about half the amount of times she is tried maybe more, for the breed and for the quarry we dig she is.... ok.

 

So....... He has asked me to ask about for anyone with good working registered fox terriers in Europe. He mentioned England and I told him id be very very surprised if there is any working stuff left in the UK. But holding out a bit of hope in maybe Belgium France Germany Italy and further afield.

 

Not my cup of tea, but the man is passionate and always nice to see a mate happy if you can help.

sorry old school, i dont. that was a while ago when i had them.

i got a dog in n. ireland once, derry, solmoman banks end he was called, woody for short.

he was a good dog, but very hard, loved pain. great nose, just as good as any hound, but a fecker to fight.

teckel extreme fox hunting, if anyone can put it up, i wouldnt know how too.

there was a number of half wits running around with tongs.

the worst part for me was, that they pulled out the fox and used a long bladed knife to pierce its heart to kill it, just like what they do to wild boar.

i wouldnt mind, but they had plenty of shot guns with them to do the job a lot quicker and cleaner.
