what slip leads does everyone use?

blue rope but i carnt see me using it this time round hands are geting burned all the time with my dogs pulling like f**k when another of mine is running so i gues i will make a leather one just like a lead but with no buckle on the end should work a treat no burns :toast:

bit off rope from B&Q youre not gutted when you lose it and cheap as chips.

still trying to figure out how that works. do you let go og the peg, the neck loosens and the peg hits the ring, but its still round the dogs neck isnt it?

 

You let go of the toggle, the loops slips off the end of it, drops down through the rabbit ring and the dog is loose!

strongstuff made me a very simular leads to that the year before last but in nylon webbing took a bit of time to get the ring position and handle length sorted though :thumbs:

 

Yeah i've found that too! I had to make several versions before I got one that was right for me and the dog! the ones i've got now dont look any thing like these first few I made :laugh:

 

They might be a little fiddly to put back together but they are brilliant if you have a strong dog, no more rope burns round your fingers! :thumbs:

I run mine with collar's on Paul and one of the main reason in doing so is to distribute the pressure around the neck because when out lamping number's the dog's would end up damaging there throat's through pulling like a train to get of the lead when another dog is running.. :thumbs:

different for me mate i run doubled up most of the time, if im on my own i dont even bother with a slip leads although when on slips the dont pull when ones slipped only untill one is slipped if you know what i mean :hmm:

Dog rope lead choker type cut choker end of melt it abit on gas hob and dab it stop it fraying job done loop's already in to put round ye wrist only costs 2 or 3 quid for a rope lead :thumbs: or just buy a 4x4 and drive the field's then ye dont need a slip lead :laugh:
