Acuspell 329
Thanks Leveller, at least one person on here has some intelligence. I gave the site a miss because of the idiocy prevalent and my first post back gets similar response. We have enough problems without pointing fingers at each other as well. Why do we have to hide our faces when we have nothing to fear? Some of us work our dogs within the law and with permission.in my case something like 70,000 acres of permission and 1500 acres of family land. It is a shame there are very few rabbits on it and the 70K is 200 miles away, so doesn't get visited as often as I would like. Edited September 11, 2012 by Acuspell Quote Link to post
Guest Leveller
Maybe folk are just naive or misinformed but so much of what went on before the ban can and is still continuing under exemptions (loopholes). I'd love to see the ban repealled don't get me wrong but we're all still going and believe it or not we can still hunt wild mammals with dogs providing measures are put in place to meet the current legislation. I would reccomend anybody who's windy about the ban to actually read the hunting act properly inside out it doesn't take a brain surgeon to see that it drawn up with loopholes so we could all carry on. sambam 8
i had an accident earlier in the year with a roe, was out on the bike exsercising the dog, came round a corner and seen 2 blokes with kids on motorbikes just as i passed them i seen the dog bolt off looked up and seen 2 roe with the heads down grazing, nothing i could do the dog had it pinned to the floor i got there in seconds as i was on the bike, i got the dog off and let bambi go on its way, turned round and one kid was crying and the blokes looked gobsmacked, so started keeping him on lead when on the bike, a few days later a rabbit bolted about 20yrds infront of me bog pulled me off the bike as for a slip lead iv got a long leather dog lead with the clip cut off, looped at one end Quote Link to post

Acuspell 329
I think you'll find that using 60lb line would garrott the dog. The line would go through it's neck like cheesewire, he was on a wind up, which is why he continued it with 60lb dog = 60lb line. Like I said, there are some idiots on here, on both sides of that post. The one who put it up and the one who believed it. Quote Link to post
