Coffee Table 43
It's generally believed that they do, following food blown onto the surface and the more oxygenated water but if carp are feeding in one particular area the direction of the wind wont move them.. Other's may well disagree but this is what I've studied while fishing. Richard 1 Quote Link to post
reddawn 2,173
iv approached a lake on a seriously windy days an i always fish the sheltered bays or the bank the wind is blowing to, have had good results, but i agree if they are on feed on a particuar place, the wind wont move em Quote Link to post
Guest bullterrier
have had some great days fishing a bay with the wind blowing into it and some days not so good but if the winds blowing into a corner of the lake or bay and there is a peg empty i would go on that peg any day john 1 Quote Link to post

bobcullen79 1,495
If it a warm southernly or westerly, they might follow, but if its blowing strong from the other way, north or east, they`ll be nearer the bank the wind hits first, cos its more sheltered as the wind passes over them. As with any fishing, nothing is dead cert, this is just what ive found in my fishing. 1 Quote Link to post
billybaltic 308
I would alway's follow a warm wind, if it's coming from the east, i go home, not many fish like them cold wind's.(myself included) Quote Link to post
