Pigeon Culling

I'm lucky if I see a woody let alone get the crosshairs on it. I have one that visits my garden but I like seeing that one so i feed it - that's what I tell the GF, really I want it to spread the word that my place is the best eating around to all of its mates and then I can FINALLY have myself a pie. I can even taste the imaginary pie now. Good grief it's nice. I've dribbled down my t-shirt.

Get yourself down here for a weekend, I will let you fill yer boots with woodies

Would love to but the early morning and late evening drive would kill me and no doubt I'd get as far as Dartford and realise I'd forgotten to charge the gun or something ridiculous :)

Thanks to some thieving sod breaking in to my house my pride and joy of a rifle has been stolen, and to make it worse my house insurance won't cover it even though it was in a locked cupboard and have notified the police etc and have the crime number. not a happy bunny. I have found a replacement though until hopefully my FX is returned or found. Getting a Brocock Sentinel limited edition in 177 it has only had about 200 pellets through it since bought and it is immaculate, comes with a Bushnell sight not sure which but have a Mountmaster 4-12x50 as a back up and a hard case. All for the princely sum of £300.

So as soon as I collect my new toy and get it zerod will be back on the hunt once again. Might even get a mate to try and video some of the shooting.

Sh1t!!! When did that happen? Do you have the serial number of the rifle?

Yep, the police and all the rifle shops within 50 miles do as well. just hoping she turns up again. it happened yesterday while we were away for the day. Taken all the electrical stuff and some jewellery all this covered but not the rifle. Totally gutted.

Cut their thieving hands off the druggies, then make it as they will not be able to claim any benifit from the government. Then make their family keep them while they are in prison. If the family wont or cant keep them in what they want in prison, then they are on minimum food and drink i.e. bread and water. You wont get many reoffenders. Vote Me for prime-minister.

Had a nice morning out with the rifle, dogs and the trusty 4x4. First farmyard was dead all cleaned up so nowt for the woodies to eat. Moved on to the next and there were a few about so parked up about 50m away from the silo and grain store. had 22 shots in total sadly 2 that were shot on the roof ended up in the gutter and a woodie flew off then suddenly folded and dropped but was in an area I can't access. but other than that was a cracking morning out. Think it was 14 woodies, 6 doves and 2 ferals for the ferrets. Photo pants quality as my usual phone in getting repaired and using a shop leant one.

The new toy is brilliant to shoot with seriously light a smidge over 3lbs! amazingly accurate (taking woodies out too 70m with a perfect head shot) and nice looking to boot so well pleased can't believe how cheap I got it. This one also had the carbon weave treatment.

Nothing better than keeping the tree rat population in check, freezer will be full again in a few days so plenty good grub for Tiree (Goshawk moulting).

Despite the heavy rain I ventured out and after seeing the first 2 farmyards with nearly a foot of standing water i almost gave up and came home. \decided to try one more which is on a wee hill so thought being elevated it would not have too much water, and thankfully it was OK. Sadly there was a poor supply of birds but managed 9 or 10, not checked the bag yet and a mad bunny which was chasing it's tail on a nearby bit of grass. So all in all not too bad considering the weather.
