Country Joe 1,411
I,d be going down the beddyx line bred route if i were to want a beddy x..sadly the bedlington of today is a disgrace compared to its older self..hence going down the beddyx line bred route..atb stabba There are still a few Bedlingtons doing what they were bred for, you just need to know where to look. There are Lads on The Working Bedlington terrier forum, that are working there dogs below ground, and there appears a good crop of pups of workers, that will be put through their paces. arcticgun 4,548
Jenny first x beddy/grey, cracking little bitch for rabbiting both day and night, does well on long ears on lamp, but can yap a bit when overmatched from bigger slips (especially when they flushed daytime to the gun), sound on bambi, but wont entertain charlie after taking some stick a couple of seasons back, not her fault as her breeding was rubish, she got bags of heart and is a cracking little pot filler. The only complaints I have are the ABS when charlies about, could well do with a couple more inch's height, but on the whole a decent little bitch. 4 Quote Link to post

budgie123 163
i have a dog 1st cross bedi/grey which is double of articguns dog which is nine this year and was still catching rabbits well in the lamp last season. he is about 23 and has been a fantastic dog.knocked a few hares over when slipped tight.Fantastic feet you can run him anywhere. Superb to kennel. In eight years i have never known him bark. My mate had a first x grey/bedi bred from george newcombes blue which was an amazing dog.It regularily to 30 rabbits a night 3 times a week.Took all quarry and was as biddable as any collie. As other people have said the key to this cross is the right bedlington. We did some research as my mate was after another and there is people who still have the right bedi. My mate baught a pup from neil bacon from birmingham area. The bedlington he is using is a genuine working bedi a cracking dog and the pups were a credit to the man.Well bred and reared.
