PlasticJock 539
Don't know about that scot, but the Feudal Tenure Act was abolished in Scotland in 2003, meaning if you buy a home it's yours as opposed to still belonging to the crown. They won't tell you that though you have to ask questions

MUDD 374
I remember a conversation years ago when my grandad was talking about tv licenses when he was young, the tv license man called at his home looking ( my great grandad ) to produce his license. When he said he didn't have a television the man took a few steps backwards and walked onto the road looking up at the roof and said " well sir, you have an aerial in your chimney " he replied " yes that's correct ! I've a pint off milk in the fridge, but no cow in the garden " bye bye.

scothunter 12,609
Like the wife who was going to her work, she bumped into the detector van. She stopped the driver and said, look I'm Away to my work, my husband won't have a clue where the liscence is. Just yell him it's on top the kitchen cupboard And away she went to work. Sure enough they went the door, And husband was like, look Lads she deals with all that haven't a clue where she keeps the liscence. Well sir go check on top of kitchen cupboard he said. Guy came back 2 mins later holding the liscence. f**k me lads that's some detector van you have.

Ratreeper 441
I like stuff like Mock the week, various wildlife documentaries with David Attenbrough and listen to the radio...so I use BBC services and pay the license. It's nice to have some TV with no adverts in it so I don't mind it, the term 'free view' is misleading though and probably false advertising if you can't watch any tv for free.
