Cold during the day but even worse its seriously cold at nights........... you wouldnt believe the amount of water on the ground here at the minute mate When i was down at Co Durham last weekend mate i couldn't belive the water there in the fields, massive puddles, looked more like wee ponds all over the place. Its been serious rain all day here and cold with it.......nightmare really!! They struggle up here anyway with the weather but this is a joke. Its been bad from April with about 4/5 days of really nice sunshine. Seemingly to get a bit of heat in July......hope so..... jasper65 6 Posted June 15, 2012 Author Report Share Posted June 15, 2012 picked up a few dead young Pheasants a week or so ago and a few live one's wet through after the rain.... the keeper on this estate mentioned alot of the game rearers have also had a few problems this year too.... You would think alot of wild birds are suffering? fook knows how the birds that rely on Insects to feed young are going to manage, no where near as many insects as their should be this time of the year..... Funny you say that ive not seen as many swallows or swifts about , the flys ect wont be as abundant as in fairer weather , wildlife will adapt to this weather but it will be a struggle .
