porkycrook 466
Have you got a silencer fitted because perhaps the pellets are catching that on its travels? Quote Link to post
woodchip 2
yes but it still happens if its removed Quote Link to post
Baghdadnights 150
What rifle and pellets you using Quote Link to post
woodchip 2
air arms s410 in 177cal and same pellets ive always ran throught the gun for the last 4 yrs but ive recently had it serviced Quote Link to post
woodchip 2
i never had any problems with the gun untill i sent it off to be dipped (hydrographics) and serviced now at 20mts its perfect but anything above that the pellets tumble and theres no accuracy. Quote Link to post
Buster321c 1,010
The barrel needs re- crowning then mate. If the pellet leaves the barrel , and for arguments sake , one side of the skirt clears the barrel before the other it will cause `wobble` . If the barrel is re-crowned this will no longer happen as the crown is square to the bore . Edited June 14, 2012 by Buster321c 2 Quote Link to post
woodchip 2
this was shot group at 50m Edited June 14, 2012 by woodchip Quote Link to post
Baghdadnights 150
Have you run it over a crono to check the power if it's just been serviced. Do air arms suffer crown probs buster thought that normally prob if shortening or threading for silencer Quote Link to post
Baghdadnights 150
Might be worth removing the barrel to have a look through in case the rifling has been damaged or debris from dipping inside Quote Link to post
Buster321c 1,010
Any gun can have crown damage mate , sometimes it can be the smallest thing that can throw them out . Quote Link to post
woodchip 2
ok so how do i remove the barrel? Quote Link to post
matt_hooks 188
How do you know they're "tumbling"? A poor group doesn't necessarily mean tumbling. You say it's fine to 20m, but goes wrong thereafter? Sounds more like a power variation to me. Who did the tuning, and what exactly did they do? Quote Link to post
Buster321c 1,010
Send it to Julian Bond of Air Arms Spares .com , there`s no better Air Arms bloke that i know of . Quote Link to post
