Ordered 5 fox snares from them in May.

Queried the delivery and was told on 31/05/2012 that the order has been despatched.

Nothing delivered

I emailed them yesterday to enquire again and no response.

Any comments to help please.

Thinking aabout this it could be a Royal Mail issue as I received a postcard from Royal Mail requiring £1.22 extra postage, 22p actual shortfall, £1 admin charge.

I put stamps on the card to that value and posted the card to Royal Mail sorting office and I don't recall anything delivered with excess postage on it but there are two properties at this address and two people with the same initial and surname, so I may haver missed it?

They said they would send me some more out.

10 days later still no traps! When I phoned this time I was told "we have a problem getting them in at the moment"

Clearly, the first lot had never been sent. I was asked, "do I want to cancel the order"

I said "no, send me the traps without the handle welded on instead" (they were in stock apparently).

 

Guess what, they never turned up either.

 

I cancelled the order about 10 weeks after initially placing and got a refund.

 

Having had good service from them in the past, I was extremely disappointed with the poor service and lies, I got this time

 

I suspect they are going through some cash flow problems at the moment.

No mate, but try magnum, flatpack they do there own models or the likes of ratbait for the genuine talpex ones. Thats if your after claw style traps.

Thanks Ian, it was the Talpex I was originally after, but ended up bying a few more duffus instead. I will bare them in mind for next time.

It's funny you should say that but this week I took the lads up to a freshly sown field of grass, that the farmer had asked me to sort out a few moles on. It's not paid work, we just get a bit of ferreting and some pigeon shooting in return.

I have had a mixture of duffus, talpax and scissors traps out.

Most of the moles have been caught in the duffus, with a few in the talpex and non in the scissor.

Admittedly I have more duffus than the other type, but I do hear good report about the talpex.

I suppose its just down to preference. I find the dufus quicker to set, you can catch doubles and the traps are half the price of others. A winner on all accounts..

As said many times on here the talpex are ok for the quirky moles that tend to backfill..but if you do set the duffus traps properly I find you get a lot less fills, than if someone does a messy job of putting them in..

Waiting for some stuff myself, and I know of a couple more. Web site been scaled down so orders cannot be taken and a message pops up before web page opens saying Pro Trapper is currently not taking orders, any outstanding orders will either be fullfilled or refunded..
