where is best place to buy cheap 12bore shells

Unless the prices are ridiculous, I would always suggest using your local dealer. Better to support local businesses so there is more chance of them still being there when you need something in a hurry.

agree with that......and you may be surprised how they can help sometimes.....with cartridges my local shop took receipt of some for me from another dealer, cartridges he didn't stock and which i wanted, but to save me sending my certificate off and having to pay the carriage then to my house, he ordered them from teh other RFD and rang me when he had them in.....i paid the other RFD what the cartridges were advertised at and that was that................he also bought a gun i wanted from another gunshop for me, he bought it at trade price and just charged me what the other shop were advertising it at on guntrader....cheaper for me than buying it from the other shop and paying rfd transfer costs......

so all in all i reckon paying what he charges for cartridges is better all round....otherwise he would go bust and i would have to drive a fair way to get to a gun shop for anything.....far better to have him trading 3 miles away

Was in Mole Valley Farmers Saturday and picked up a price list for their cartridges.Cheapest in 28 load with 7.5 shot, 2 3/4 plastic wad is £4.32 for 25, with fiber wad £4.73.They are called Express English Sporter.

There a horrible cartridge to use in my personal view, not bad shot wise but the amount of crap that's left in the barrel after using them is unreal! I also found that they didnt have enough recoil to reset the trigger set to fire the next barrel

I wouldn't touch anything smaller than no6 for bunnies, and only use 7's for close decoyed pigeons. Humane kills is the name of the game, not how cheap the cartridge is IMHO.

7 1/2s will give you humane kills if your a competent shot with them ... rabbits, crows pigeons pheasant snipe woodcock squirrel and the odd duck and hare have all been shot by us with no issues

Hmmm duck, I was not aware you could buy none toxic in 7.5s, and hares well I hope they were no more than ten yards away with 7.5s otherwise you are a cruel sod who does not deserve to be shooting.
