Simoman 110
Seen a few adders in the local forest, unfortunately a fair few get run over basking on the country lanes in summer, also seen them on the grouse moors in Sutherland. Grass snakes are never far from a water source, plenty on a stretch of canal i used to walk............. Quote Link to post

Simoman 110
Quite possible, i went for a nice walk in Norfolk several years ago with a member of here, the wood contained numerous adders and grass snakes and said member used to work with the springwatch people to provide snake "hot spots", we found a large grass snake, they rarely bite but do produce a nasty smelling musk when alarmed........... NIckinSurrey 6
You wont see too many adders - they are pretty rare as they are not too good at multiplying. Nick 1 Quote Link to post
