Jack.308 40
My mind has been turned lately to taking up pest controll as a career, how would i go about it? Im 16 btw, thanks Quote Link to post
Matt 160
Jack read some of the threads posted in the FAQ section. At 16 I would advise you to either continue with your education for as long as you can (you need to be able to write good reports these days), or get yourself a gamekeeping job. Modern pest controllers need to be able to drive, and some sites do not allow entry by under 18's. Have a read. Quote Link to post
Jack.308 40
The problem with that is i havnt been in education for 2 years ive just done my gsce's but not sure i will get the gardes witch will effect me getting into a college i would inagin just need to know what me options are could you show me some links to usefull infomation bud, thanks Quote Link to post
Matt 160
Plenty of topics in the FAQ section above here. Just take a look or do a search. You've got no chance of a job in pest control until you are over 18 so use the time wisely and improve your literacy skills while it's still fairly easy to do so. Quote Link to post

Froudy 40
Hi mate, I would recommend looking at the bpca website, and also killgerm, a quick call to one of them and they will put you on the right track, where are you based? Quote Link to post

DKGPestControl 22
My best advice would be try and get a job with a big company like Rentokill or someone. Do 5 years with the company and get train up, get experience and lern to write reports etc. Then once you are happy and have a good understanding of pest control, give it a shot on your own! If you don't get the experience first, you will never get a good rep! If you even need a helping hand give us a bell! Also check out UKPestControllers.org its a hand forum Quote Link to post
