good pics  just out of interest has any one seen or even heard of a pure white woody before ? ive seen a white bird 3 times now, the first time i saw it i didnt take much notice of it as i thought it was a Ferrel pigeon and then i saw it with 2 normal woodies and it took of like a woody when spooked, i also spooked it of a woodies nest which i didnt know was there but again i didnt have chance to have a good look at it, sorry for ruining your post but its got my mind going now if it is a woody,

A lot of years ago there was a white Pigeon among a large flock, near where I lived. Lots of people saw it (it did stick out like a sore thumb among the others) and It stayed around all winter then disappeared. Going by size, shape and how it flew, it certainly seemed to be a Woodie, and definitely wasn't a feral or Dove.

aye and if they stick oot like a sore thumb they tend to become a target

You're dead right, and these were moving around between rape fields, and although I never heard of anyone shooting it, it could've been, or fallen prey to a BOP........................... or it could've been a ghost pigeon :whistling:

aye the type of ghost scooby DOO chases  sorry

:hmm: That one flew straight over my head! :icon_redface:

DOO, Scottish word for pigeon, still a shite joke though lol

by the way this flew and the size and shape of it i would of said it was a woody and could well be one if others have been seen before, ile be like a twitcher now when im next there :D im all for pest control but hopefully this one wont be targeted as its round abit of a nature reserve where alot of kids visit from schools but saying that there was a litter of cubs that was doing well and someone killed one by the look of it so it could well be targeted with it been white,
