DEREK CANNING LLB[HONS] 20
' timestamp='1339373100' post='2659251'] At a local level I find the police helpful and if I was in a life threatening situation the grass root level police would be first in line to save me. It is the top layer that is the potential issue by not addressing the needs of the public. My guess would be that they are too bogged down dealing with bullshit from bellends like you matey, as I said, we all get what we deserve with our police force. There is the problem: people like who cannot put a sensible statement together therefore they just insult without any constructive contribution. ‘We get what was deserved from the police’ that is statement of a dictatorship. The police are public servants not dictators. I am not your ‘mate’; I pick my friends with a bit more intelligence that can put a sentence together without swearing for no reason other than to insult someone they do not know. Can you explain the bit about stolen eggs, for those who don't know and would like the full picture? Personally I don't mind the police, if you don't look suspicious you don't get caught and simply being polite is enough to get you out of a lot of trouble (not murder, but speeding tickets, minor drug offences). If you get caught doing something dodgy, you have to accept that you have lost this round of the game and probably due to you being a bit thick. There are bad and corrupt police, but it does seem most people who do get a rozza who is after them are smart mouthed little c**ts who would wind up most people trying to earn a living. The question is, could you ever do that job? I couldn't think of a worse job than sorting out drunken fights, pissing people off all day giving tickets and being abused and hated by everyone. That's before you have to deal with the really nasty crimes trying not to be violent. I do question the mentality of anyone who wants to bully people around for a living, either bullied at school or did the bullying but these are likely to be the thick ones so if you get caught by them then you have yourself to blame. PoshPikey 560
I try and keep out of trouble and apart from getting nicked for speeding every few years - i have absolutely no interaction with them. On the whole I think they try to do a good job.
PlasticJock 539
Derek, from a serious point of view their job is done in line with the political order of the day. A few years ago a woman getting a slap wasn't seen as the worst crime in the world, nowadays you'll be jumped on from a great height. Not that I think there's anything wrong with that. Wildlife crime, firearms, 'terrorism', all the same. You only have to look at the extraditions to the US to see something's seriously wrong with the system. Having said all that, police officers are human and they're getting pretty pissed off at the crap they have to put up with, not from drunks and junkies but their commanders. Disillusioned to say the least. It isn't just the police that are affected either - remember the woman who died down a mineshaft because the fire and rescue commander on the ground wouldn't authorise the use of rescue equipment? Politics, health and safety and bullshit seems to be the nature of the beast.

DEREK CANNING LLB[HONS] 20
The bottom line: what I want is a criminal investigation into the RSPB employee called XXX XXXXXXXX in relation to various cases including my own case and for the police to be more transparent and accountable. I have no hostility to the police and I work with the police as part of my job however if I supply evidence that XXX XXXXXXXX has committed a crime I expect it to be investigated. XXX XXXXXXXX is not named in this case as there is a criminal investigation at the moment by Hexham Police and I want to make sure it is not cover up. I am also putting together website that that should pull a few feathers.
