1/2 border collie, bred from working sheep/farm sire, not nervous nor shy and bomb proof ( touch wood )

One or the other is a safer bet. When they're mixed they rarely produce good lurchers.

hancock got his original stud dog remus from tom muirhead. tom muirhead started his line with a bitch from skye and a dog from beatock.tom muirhead farmed from 1956-1977 at birckleugh farm in crawford john lanarkshire. he moved in 1977 to anston farm in dunsyre lanarkshire till 1990. then moved to kirkconnel in dumfrieshire. he then retired to carnwath lanarkshire. he died in 1994.

for general Lamping both crosses are hard to beat, if you happen to get the right beardie collie, onto the greyhound bitch, they do make very good rabbiting dogs and they could take the odd Hare when in-law, marking setts, hedgerow work, and collecting pheasants, you wont go wrong, with either cross, make very good lurchers, the beardie can be that little bit more stubborn,, and THE COLD WET WEATHER, no problems to either of them, and I never had any problem with there feet,

if u had to pick between the 2 of these!!!!! what would u rather in the dog u worked and why!!!!

if it was just collie grey or collie whip grey I would be wanting a bit of fire in there so it would be the beardie but if it was a mix in a lurcher x lurcher type I would want the border type but that's just my opinion ........ It's hard to find good working beardies now a lot of show crap and pet
