when is everybody starting back ferreting

mid september for me ,just a couple of short outings to begin with just to sharpen the ferrets up and check everthings working ok .then its full days whenever i can ......cant wait for the season to start.

I tried to go out for a couple of hours yesterday and I couldn't see a thing under all the nettles even with the locators they were playing up so we called it a day

yea this season im very excited about as I get my first lurcher (saluki/grey/bull x saluki/grey bitch) in 2 n a half weeks to add to the ferrets + patterdale team... looking forward to breaking her to the ferrets and doing short outings with her.. come Febuary she will be around 9 month and ready for a good few end of season runs!..

We were ferrying on an old railway track so the locator was going metal every time it found abit of metal in the ground, it was like strapping 50quid to its neck a hoping it would come back

im still doing a bit but only if they farmer really nags at me otherwise it will be Mid September
