S200 barrel choked?

Recommended Posts

Hello just wondered if anyone knows if the AA S200 barrel is choked (tapers at the end inside) Its a mark 3 less than a year old, The reason im asking is im thinking of shortning the length of the barrel, Ive got a friend whos goin to 1/2" unf the end of the barrel and re-crown it so i was goin to shorten it 3-4" while this was being done if the rifleing allows that much to be taken off, Any help greatly appreciated brent.

They say every inch u take off ,count 10shots left..so you might find you will get about 10shots..unless you get it regs etc

Never heard that .......

My MFR barrel is 11 inches , had 4 3/4 inch too off .

Its not choked , and its faultlessly accurate .

Iv been looking at shortening my barrel see, and by shortening the barrel shot count has been a big thing as I don't have a bottle etc, I get around 80shots..so when I have it done..I also have to have mine tuned etc to overcome the lose of shot count. Some guys done what I wanted done and lost 25shots after the tune an adjustment..but neither are regd so I wouldn't know about regulated guns

If You cut 4" off the barrel the power will drop, more so on a .177 than .22 you would have to have the gun retuned to take the power back up and yes you would definatley get less shots per fill.
