As bear said, first thing and last thing, if your on a river cast into them deep pool's and also right in close, you would be surprised where a trout will lie and wait, and on lake's they still come close in if it's a quite place, get out there and you will be telling us where they are soon, if there are pike in the water alway's use a wire trace, good luck. :thumbs:

Spot on Billy mate :thumbs: a trout needs 8" of water for it to be comfortable to swim and feed but deeper pools tend to be the best. A wild brownie will have it's own little territory which it will swim up and down and chase other trout out of ;)
