I have a 5/8 Grey 3/8 Bull X bitch stands around 23-24tts. Regularly takes double figures on bunnies all retrieved to hand.

Catches some she has no right to imo and will also run all night. Also a demon a on reds. Think some people think because there's bull in there lurcher they have to be heavy built and over feed the dog making it harder to keep fit which shows when on bunnies.

all mine did no prob, maybe not the best for rabbits but still get good bag. The whippet x bullxgrey i always thought would be good on 'em, mine were just straight bullx greys.!

In general there are better types for rabbits but a good bull cross will do the job. If I was to get a specialist rabbiter it wouldn't be a bull cross but as a general lurcher they are a handy type. As with most things its horses for courses, this lad takes rabbit ok but will never be a world beater at it.

AS SAID ALREADY, NOTHING WRONG WITH BULLXS FOR RABBITS, PREFER LOW PERCENTAGE AND A BIT OF WHIPPET FOR RABBITS. THE HEAVIER BULLX S SERVE THERE PURPOSE. I HAVE NEVER OWNED THEM BUT I HAVE WORKED THEM AND THE HALF CROSS A LITTLE TO HEAVY FOR RABBITS BUT NOT ALL OF THEM ARE

I've got a half cross bitch not bad on the bunnys but I've also got a 1/4 much better on the turn and will pick them up alot easyer and her mothers a 1/8 cross and hovers them up so I think that answers the question IMO atb rj
