I shoot all through the summer to keep our farmer happy and to keep the ferreting and dogging permission on his other farms, I think we are getting these orchards under control now as the numbers are at managable level........................

We had 31 in a couple of hours , feeds the animals ,and keeps the landowner happy. I made a pudding for the dogs out of some of the giblets,mixed with porridge ,rice, eggs, and veg, and put 6 of the bunnies straight into the slow cooker . Feeds my 4 dogs for a few days.

 

Pat has ferrets with kits to feed, so nothing goes to waste

.The young bunnies are quickly demolished by the ferts before the flies can zero in on them.

 

As the land hosts a pheasant/partridge shoot , we also get brownie points for the fox Pat bowled over with a brain shot.

i dont do guns with wooden stocks anymore, i keep busting them ive even managed to break and unbreakable synthetic one

I need to get out but the rain is stopping play, not with us been a fair weather shooter, but the rabbits just dont venture out as much, Hoping to get out this weekend if the weather holds, I sell my rabbits to snake owners they give me £1 a rabbit no matter what size! I also freeze some for my dogs and alwasy pop a couple of head shots to fill freezer for me
