l&l cracking litter-best of luck with them-nice to see someone keeping records,weight,type,etc-handle all my pups and record stats-take pics at birth and just before they go to new homes.hoping to line my 6 yr old bed/grey x bull/whip next time she comes in-aint interested in money-good working ,life long homes is more important to me-will keep a pup back for myself and fingers crossed it will make the grade.all the best with them and hope they all have good working homes and dont end up passed from pillar to post like most lurcher litters.keep us all posted -happy days. bob

this is just the way i do it, take a pic, get a weight, colour and sex then make sure its feeding...never had a problem yet but i suppose you have to know the bitch and the bitch has to trust you. I keep a track on wieght then for the first couple of weeks so i know instantly if there are any problems with feeding

 

Lovely...good for you, im sure you know what your doing, i knew somebody would piss on your parade. Really gets on my tits when people start ranting on thinking they know better when they've only been in the game two minutes.

Aye, i wasn't trying to 'piss on anyones parade', just asking question / offering opinion. Certainly wasn't trying to get at labs and lurchers.

 

As for being in the game two minuites blah blah, i don't really think you have a clue, what experiance of litters / pups / births i have, so that's just a shot in the dark.

Out of interest, are there any big differences in the birth weights???

Puppies are all doing well and eyes are opening on them now, had their first wormer dose today and all weighed in at over 2lbs, the heaviest was 2 1/2 lbs! not bad for 10 day old pups! They all going to be little crackers

THE MIGHTY GIMP!! was prob about 100lb all he ever did was beat up things 1/4 he own weight and thats after its been in a snare all night struggling, so that makes the dog well tested and worth producing from little things little minds and all that,,,,and yes the mickeymouse bred dam to gimp which was said to be pure? was the greatgranmother to my own dog on the sires side, and not the bandog sire to gimp!, so that little bit of blood going back to that bitch is the only bit of bad blood in him and the rest of it is as good as its gets and thats the blood thats made him the dog he is, so yes im happy with him...............

and we all no who said that lol, its funny because the same person hounded me to use my dog bud and when i ask to see the bitch work first he soon stopped hounding me lol,,, as for the bitch she was a good little fox bitch and thats all i ever made her out to be and nothing more and plenty seen her do just that,, golly well his size did more for his rep then what his work did, i only seen the dog work a handful of times and what i seen him do he did well, i used the dog because he was a producer and he had a line going back to my bitch and that mating give me my dog bud who i would take out in anyones company, so if theres any doubt im always up for a night out.......
