i was thinking the same, and that comes with no disrespect to labsnlurchers, but surely the less stress the bitch encounters the better, and let nature take its course, but obviously keep an eye on her for any problems she might have, best of luck with the pups, and all the best to you,

cheers,

jay.

ARE you letting the bitch chew the abilical cord they look very short i normally cut mine with blunt scissers then tie cotton round them to prevent any chance of hemarage, of course nature has done it naturally for years but thats what i do

I wasn't knocking you, i just don't think i have much interest in the sex, color, weight at birth, or taking a photo as the pop out, so maybe that;s why. As long as the birth goes well, and the bitch is looking after them, then i'd leave them be, and have a look at the sex etc, later on, same with weighing them, although to be honest, your eyes / easr should tell you there is a problem, without costant weighing.

JUst seems these days, that with pups, and same with ferret kits, folk want to take all of the vital stats and take lots of photos and generally get involved from the word go, rather than giving the bitch her own space, peace and time to do her thing.

Good luck though!
